These Caterpillars feed on various species of grass ( POACEAE ), including (unfortunately) :
The male adult moths of this species are dark brown, with two white spots and a number of broad white subterminal bands on each forewing. The males have a wingspan of about 5 cms. The species is found over inland New South Wales.
