The caterpillar pupates in a brown cocoon constructed amonst nearby vegetation.

The adult moths of this species are brown or rust colored, with a narrow dark lineparallel to the margin on each wing, and two darker spots on each forewing. The moths have a wingspan of about 4 cms.

The species is found in South Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.
