The Caterpillar of species related to this overseas feed on :

  • Alfalfa/Lucerne ( Medicago sativa, FABACEAE ).

    The adult moth is fawn with dark wing margins. It has a wing span of about 4 cms.

    The species may be found over the northern half of Australia, as well as Norfolk Island and New Zealand. The related species Tathorhynchus exsiccata is found in North America, Africa, Europe and Asia.
