This species was introduced deliberately to control the introduced weed :

  • Groundsel Bush ( Baccharis halimifolia, ASTERACEAE ).

    The caterpillar eats the flesh of the leaves, leaving the skeleton of veins.

    The adult moth has brown patterned forewings and plain brown hindwings.
