The adult moth has a wing span of about 4 cms. The upper wing surfaces are brown with a curved white band across the centre and a less distinct white band across the tip of each fore wing, and four yellow blotches on each hind wing.

Underneath, the forewings are brown with two yellow marks on the costa of each forewing, and orange under each hindwing with a dark mark at the tornus.
