This caterpillar is green and dome-shaped, with several faint pale lines along the body. It has been found feeding on the foliage of many different plants, including:

  • Coconut ( Cocos, ARECACEAE ),
  • Coral Tree ( Erythrina, FABACEAE ),
  • Candlenut ( Aleurites, EUPHORBIACEAE )
  • Cloves ( Eugenia, MYRTACEAE ),
  • Chaulmoogra ( Hydnocarpus, FLACOURTIACEAE ),
  • Wattle ( Acacia, MIMOSACAE ),
  • Coffee ( Coffea, RUBIACEAE ), and
  • Gardenia ( Gardenia, RUBIACEAE ).

    The adult moths have pale brown forewings, each with a big rusty-brown patch in the middle. The hindwings and body are brown. The eggs are translucent and flat. They are laid singly or in small groups on a foodplant.

    The species occurs across south-east Asia, including:

  • Borneo,
  • Philippines
  • Thailand, and
  • Queensland.
