This plant is an evergreen shrub, growing to a height of about one metre. It is inclined to twine about and climb on adjacent plants and objects. The leaves are dark green, oblong and opposite, with a short petiole. They are about 9 cms long and 3 cms wide. The flowers are white and scented.
