Software Quality Evaluation
This research investigates a framework for software quality evaluation
based on theory adopted from cognitive psychology. The research
also
investigates the potential use of software metrics to measure the
capability of obtaining desired consequences and sought after values.
Cultural issues in Outsourcing Projects
The research investigates the factors which lead to outsourcing
success. The research will introduce a framework to describe the
critical success factors and the relationships that influence
successful outsourcing projects. The research will also
introduce an evaluation tool for assessing outsourcing projects.
Cultural issues in Software Quality
The research investigates the differences between cultures in software
inspections and testing approaches that affect software quality.
The research also investigates the Software Process Improvement
measurements and the different challenges faced in different cultures.
A Study of the factors which influence
successful project teams
The research investigates the factors which affect successful software
development project teams. The study identifies what factors
contribute to a successful team as well as identifies the factors
which lead to problems in the project team. The research will
also look at cultural challenges which affect project teams. An
evaluation tool will be developed as a result of this study.
Development of a framework to describe the
factors influencing continuous adoption and use of newly implemented
technology and software
The research studies the factors which influences continuous use of
newly introduced technology and software projects. The research will extend the
studies of software and technology adoption, moving it to the next
level.
Critical Success Factors in Project Management
The research is currently being undertaken with Microsoft Australia to survey members on risks,
and critical success factors relating
to successful Software Development. Focus of the study is on the
Microsoft Solutions Framework and how it copes with Project
Management.
Measuring ROI and Value from Software Quality
The research investigates the relationship between Return On
Investment in software development and the evaluated software quality
of the finished product. The research will create a toolset for
relating the quality evaluation to the ROI, resulting in an expression
of the added value given to the business as a result of the software
development and its quality.
Knowledge Management
To understand and investigate how knowledge management is related to
Project Management and software quality assurance.
