  • Networks
I am interested in the development of architectures and protocols for next generation networks: Autonomic Programmable Platforms, End-to-End QoS Architectures, Mobile P2P and Grid Networks, Wireless Sensor and Mobile Ad hoc Networks. Visit my research group for more information: Advanced Research in Networking
  • Application of Networking and IT Technologies
I am particularly interested in the application of networking and IT technologies to assistive healthcare which involve Body Area Networks (BANs), medical sensors, electronic medical records/databases and Grid infrastructures. Possible projects include:
    • Monitoring health conditions over wireless networks
    • Delivery of health assistive actions over wireless networks
    • Electronic medical records/databases
    • Security issues in Healthcare Grid
  • Past interests
My earlier research interests include robot vision, collision avoidance, image/speech recognition and neural networks. Sometime in the past, we have developed a biologically plausible Neural Network Model of Isocortex, the AMI (A Model of Isocortex). See either Mark James or AMI: A model of Isocortex
