The caterpillars of this species are thought to feed on grass ( POACEAE ).

The butterflies are dark brown with orange markings. The males are similar to the females, and have no sex brand. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

It has been found in :

  • Fiji, and
  • the Northern Territory and Queensland in Australia.
