The adult moth of this species has brown fore wings with light bands across them. The hind wings are orange with brown markings. It has a wing span of about 3 cms. This is a high plains species, specimens being taken by day on Mt. Donna Buang (January) and Mt. Wellington (March) (both in Victoria).
