The Caterpillar of this species has been found feeding in Bundaberg, Queensland, on the leaves of:

  • Roses ( Rosa odorata, ROSACEAE), and
  • Hibiscus ( Hibiscus rosa-sinensis , MALVACEAE.

    The animal is brown and hairy with two white spots: on segments six and seven. It also has two hairy horns on its head.

    It pupates in a sparse cocoon in the ground litter.

    The adult is white, with a yellow tail.
