This species is occurs naturally in Europe, for example:

  • Belgium,
  • Great Britain, and
  • Sweden.

    It was introduced deliberately into America, and in 1990 into Australia in order to control pest oubreaks of:

  • Scotch Broom ( Cytisus scoparius, FABACEAE ).

    The adult moth is satin white, with yellow marks near the tips of the fore wings. It has a wingspan of about 0.8 cms.
