This Caterpillar is an international pest on:

  • Rice ( Oryza sativa, POACEAE ).

    The Caterpillar lives in a case made from a rolled-up rice leaf.

    The adult moths have semi-transparent wings, with faint brown zig-zag lines across them. Each fore wing has 2 black comma-shaped marks. The moths have a wingspan of about 2 cms.

    The species is found in south-east Asia, including:

  • Hong Kong,
  • Thailand,
    and in Australia in:
  • Northern Territory, and
  • Queensland.
