These Caterpillars have been found on :

  • Lepidopetalum subdichotomum ( SAPINDACEAE ).

    The adults of this species are black with a large white patch in the middle, and an arc of white spots along the edge, of each wing. The undersides are similar to the top surfaces. The butterflies have a wingspan of about 4 cms.

    Various sub-species of this butterfly are found in New Guinea and Indonesia. The sub-species moorei is found on Cape York in Australia.
