My main research interest is on Internet Quality of Services (QoS) and more specifically issues related with Resource management techniques using Bandwidth Broker (BB), Traffic Engineering (TE) for the Internet. In the past I worked on a unified Policy Based Network Architecture for the Next generation Internet services, where my main focus is on how to integrate both Policy information and Traffic engineering components of Autonomous system together and build a model on top of the BGP to successfully implement an end-to-end QoS frame work. Various approaches involving TE parameter tuning through BGP attribute, Designing a suitable Policy negotiation protocol between Autonomous Systems and creating overlay architecture for better management of QoS flows are investigated within the scope of my research. We used OPNET Modeler to verify and simulate our design problems. Apart from QoS I am also involved in various other projects including Telemedicine, Sensor Networks and e-health, Network Security.
