15:30-17:30 "Bootstrap" meeting ... Date: Mon, 9 Dec 2002 11:42:12 -0000 From: Marian Petre To: Bootstrapping discussion list Subject: meeting at SIGCSE Dear Bootstrappers, Having looked closely at the SIGCSE programme, there doesn't appear to be a clear window for a meeting, so here's the proposal: - A social dinner on Wednesday evening for anyone who has arrived by then. - A meeting during 15:30 - 17:30 on Thursday, possibly with some run-over (depending on interest in the BoF sessions). This does conflict with a paper session, but one that I hope is expendable -- please check.

Friday February 21

Feb 21 (Fri) SIGCSE, 8:45am to 10: room Carson 1 "Introductory Programming" From "Dan Joyce" Tue Jan 21 06:38 EST 2003 To: raymond@it.uts.edu.au ... 3. You are invited to a Speaker Breakfast on the day on which you present your paper. This is an opportunity to meet the other speakers as well as the Session Chair. The session chair can learn more about you and your work for their introduction of you to the session attendees. The Speaker Breakfast is in Cascade on the Mezzanine at the following times: Thursday 7:00 - 8:15 a.m. Friday 7:15 - 8:30 a.m. Saturday 7:15 - 8:30 a.m. Your session chair's name will soon be available online, and will appear in the printed final program you will receive at the Registration Desk in Reno. Session chairs have been asked to find you at the breakfast. 4. Your paper presentation is scheduled for 25 minutes. Please organize your presentation to last about 20 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for questions. Please arrive to your scheduled session a little early and notify the session chair that you have arrived. It is expected that you will stay in your session room while the others present. Often audience members may look for you at the close of the session to discuss your paper, so please plan for time immediately after the session to wrap up conversations with the audience. You can ask your Session Chair to keep you informed of how much time you have remaining. 5. Standard AV equipment will be available in all paper session rooms, including computer projectors with an 800 X 600 resolution. Computers are not available for presentation; please bring your own laptop. There is no net access. ... 7. In case you've forgotten, here is your session information: ---------------------------------------- Introductory Programming which will be held on Friday, February 21, 2003, between 8:45 AM and 10:00 AM in Room Carson 1. ---------------------------------------- Josh wrote to me, Suzanne, William ... >Meeting time: It sounds like Friday afternoon is best for us.
